Home Depot opens Ala. Distribution Center

The Home Depot Inc. on Wednesday opened its new $33 million distribution center in McCalla, Ala. The Atlanta-based home improvement retailer said the 600,000-square-foot facility, employs more than 200 associates. Known as a rapid deployment center, it will serve about 150 Home Depot (NYSE: HD) retail stores throughout the Southeast.
